Taken on strength by Canadian Armed Forces 424 Squadron in Trenton on August 26, 1971, this Twin Otter was transferred to 440 Squadron the next month. It has been with 440 Squadron ever since, alternating bases in Yellowknife and Edmonton (CFB Namao) until 1994 when CFB Namao was closed.
