G-ZZZC flew its final flight from Heathrow to St.Athan for scrapping on January 13th 2020 after just over 24 years in service with British Airways. It is in its original Landor colour scheme in the photo. At the holding point for runway 27L waiting to depart on flight BA304 to Paris-CDG. Sir Charles Edward Kingsford Smith made the first transpacific flight from the United States to Australia in 1928. It lost its name when it was repainted into the Rendezvous World Images colours later in 1997. This photo is copyright © Paul Seymour, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
