TWA was the first owner of this Martin in 6.52, bought by Piedmont in 12.62 and by Southeast some ten years later. In fine form with the innovative rear airstairs lowered, this classic was near the end of her service with the Florida regional at the time of this shot. PBA went on to operate her from the end of 1975, then in late 1986 she found herself working down in the Caribbean until dbr by Hurricane Hugo on 17.9.89 at San Juan, PR. Last noted derelict in a corner there in 2003 and presumed subsequently broken up This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
