The C-2.111 is one of about 200 examples produced under licence until 1956 by the CASA in Tablada. After WWII, availability of the German-built Junkers engines was obviously problematic and so CASA used instead the R-R Merlin 500 - these becoming the B and D-versions. This example was retired by the EdA in 1967 but then used in the film 'Battle of Britain. It flew for the last time at in September 1970 and is now on display at theDeutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
