Constructed as a B.2 in 1963, this Victor was converted to a K.2 in 1974. Based at RAF Ascension (Wideawake Island) at the beginning of the Falklands war the tanker also flew sorties out of Bahrain during operation Desert Storm of the Gulf War in 1990. Retired in 1993, the nose section was preserved when it was scrapped. Stored for a while, the nose was transferred to the RAF Museum in Hendon in 1997 and put on display.
