This frame was originally delivered as a 340 to United Air Lines as N73115 in October 1952 and called "Mainliner San Diego". It also then flew with Allegheny and underwent subequent conversions to 540, 440 and finally in October 1965 to 580-standard. After cargo conversion and time hauling freight around Alaska and Canada, it was leased by TAL and based at OPF. By September 2001 it was wfu, stored, damaged during Hurricane Wilma and had finally been scrapped by November 2007. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
