Two CL-44s were used briefly for passenger flights from Southend in 1972, G-AZIN flying the first with 170 pax on 28.3.72 to Ostend. G-ATZI joined in 5.72 in mixed vehicle/pax configuration, but both were handed back to TMAC (in 7.72 and 10.72 respectively) due to low volumes. After service with Express Flug, Limburg Air Cargo and British Cargo Airlines, this one (formerly Flying Tiger Line's N450T) was sold to Bayu Indonesia as PK-BAW in 6.82; broken up at Jakarta-Kemayoran in 1992 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
