This is the first VC-10 ever built, which first flew on 29.6.62 from Weybridge. Used for development for the first six years then converted from Srs 1100 to 1109 and operated by MEA and BUA. She was damaged beyond repair in a hard landing at LGW on 28.1.72 and was broken up after a period of storage This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
