A truly historic aircraft that returned to the air in September 2011. This was the 557th Spitfire built (of more than 22000) and was crash landed on the beach at Calais on May 23rd 1940 by Flying Officer Peter Cazenove. It is seen taxying out and kicking up the cut grass at Flying Legends 2012 This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
