This Tornado was built in 1985 and reached its operational lifetime of 4,000 flying hours in 2008 assisgned to AG 51 reconnaissance squadron in Jagel (Schleswig-Holstein). Its final deployment was from 2007 until 2008 with the Einsatzgeschwader Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). In October, 2008 the plane made its last flight from Jagel to Erding AFB and then it was transported by road to the museum in July 2010 to Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim where it is now on display.
