This was a B-17G air tanker (USAAF 44-83542) operated by Aero Union. It crashed on July 12,1971 near Benson, AZ. These remains were the basis for the static display B-17 42-37994 "Piccadilly Express" at Fantasy of Flight at Polk, FL.
