Eastern Airlines bought Caribair of San Juan, PR in 1973 to increase their international presence. They merged Caribair's 3 DC-9s in to the fleet. After Eastern's sudden shut down in January 1992, this DC-9 went to Servivensa in Venezuela as YV-760C. It was withdraw in 1996 and stored at Simón Bolívar International Airport, later broken up.
