The Luftforsvaret operated once 22 Safaris with the Luftforsvarets Flygeskole (LFS) from homebase Bardufoss. Through the years four were written off during accidents, two became an instructional airframe (possibly after an accident too) and one was stored and cannibalized after an accident. So the LFS nowadays (2020) flies with fifteen Safaris. Training continues through the year, also during snow.
