Back in 1966, this was the 5th DC-9 (of 80) delivered to Trans World Airlines. Sold to Texas International in October 1977 as N655TX, the aircraft continued with Continental when the two airlines merged five years later. June 6, 1988, it was sold to Aero California, who kept it in service until withdrawn in April 2006 and stored at Mojave, CA.
