On demand charter airline Point to Point Air had this Beech 18 in their fleet for freight runs to Alaska. The aircraft carries their logo on the rear fuselage. On March 3, 2017, the freighter was executing a missed approach in snowy weather at Ketchikan International Airport when the right engine failed. The propeller would not feather and the aircraft could not maintain altitude, ditching in Smuggler's Cove on the west coast of Annette Island. The aircraft sank and the pilot and pilot / passenger swam ashore. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
