VH-EAD prior to receiving weather radar. A generation of spotters used the embankment behind the Connie as a vantage point. It had carried a railway freight line but by the time of the photo the line had been realigned to allow the airport to expand. The embankment is now gone but the realigned railway remains in use. This photo was added on 30 May 2020, and has since been viewed 605 times. |
