The squadron operated the RF-4C from 1975 to 1995 and was the last operational user of the type within the USAF. In April 1996, the squadron transitioned to C-130E Hercules and the squadron was redesignated as 192d Airlift Squadron. This serial, 864, was transferred to the Spanish Air Force as CR.12-56 on 13 October 1995. This recce Phantom is currently preserved with code 12-65 at Torrejon (Spain).
