Under the strict Australian two-airline policy in force at the time, VH-RME and TAA's VH-TJA arrived in Australia on the same day (October 16, 1964) and entered service on the same day (November 2) on the same route - Melbourne (Essendon) to Sydney. -RME was withdrawn from use and sold in Mexico as XA-MEG in 1978.
