VH-SBW was imported into Australia in 1965 from the UK, where it was G-AMZH. TAA operated it in Papua New Guinea, then an Australian colony. At the time of the photo it had been repainted by Hawker de Havilland at Bankstown into TAA's new livery. In 1973 -SBW was sold to the Air Niugini, the new national airline of an independent PNG, as P2-SBW (later P2-ANQ).
