Combat veteran Spitfire on display at RAF Museum Hendon. This aircraft was built at Castle Bromwich and delivered to No. 611 Sqn. in Feb. 1942. It then went to No. 242 Sqn. in June and No. 222 Sqn. in Aug. 1942. In 1943 the Spitfire moved to No. 64 Sqn. and No. 118 Sqn. After Dec. 1943 its history becomes obscure.
