On 4 May 1982, this aircraft took part in the sinking of the destroyer HMS Sheffield. No less than three ships are claimed on the nose. An Exocet missile is carried under the starboard wing. Despite the abbreviation, EA32 is the 2nd Naval Fighter and Atttack Squadron and its mascot is a parrot. This photo was added on 5 September 2020, and has since been viewed 1798 times. |
