This is only the starboard section of the fuselage of UH-1H A2-382. This Huey was ditched in Vietnam in 1968 after it had been hit by small arms fire. The fuselage was later recovered to Australia. The port section of the fuselage is preserved in the RAAF museum at Point Cook. In 2019, the starboard section was moved from Townsville to the 2RAR museum at Lavarack Barracks, Queensland.
