The 704th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Outlaws", part of the 924th Fighter Wing (Air Force Reserves, AFRES) operated the F-4 Phantom from 1981 onwards. The squadron trained AFRES personnel for worldwide deployments and providec air-to-air and air-to-ground training. In July 1991 the squadron transitioned to F-16. The squadron was eventually inactivated at homebase Bergstrom in 1996. This F-4D carried an experimental camouflage pattern.
