It was a little slow lining up and then used a lot of runway before becoming airborne resulting in an inbound Southwest B737 having to go around. I took a photo of that too. This Tristar was acquired in Jul 84 ex Delta Air Lines N701DA. Total Air was founded in 1984 and renamed Air America in Nov 86. It ceased operations circa 1990. But by Jul 87 this Tristar had gone to American Trans Air as N195AT. It was retired in 2003. This photo is copyright © Danny Grew, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
