Early F-4J pic of VF-213, which transitioned to the type in 1969 and did its first F-4J cruise to Vietnam on the USS Kitty Hawk in 1970 (it had already done several earlier cruises on the same carrier with the F-4B between 1965 and 1969). This F-4J crashed on 12 July 1972 off MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii while operated by VMFA-235. This photo was added on 4 October 2020, and has since been viewed 554 times. |
