The entire Junkers fleet of the Rijksluchtvaartschool in one photo. PH-UBA was built in 1936 and served the Luftwaffe in WWII. On Oct 16, 1945 it was serialled VM985 of the RAF Enemy Aircraft Storage & Servicing Unit at Fuhlsbuttel, Germany. Early Apr 1946 it was transferred to the RAF 131 (P) squadron at Ahlhorn, Germany and days later prepared for delivery to the Netherlands. Registered PH-UBA on Jun 21, 1946. Cancelled on Oct 1, 1949 and the aircraft was sold two monts later. In 1950 it was sold to Avio-Diepen as a testbed for BMW aircraft engines and later scrapped. The other two aircraft are PH-UBB and PH-UBC. This photo was added on 8 October 2020, and has since been viewed 955 times. |
