The aircraft was used as demonstrator for some time. A few countries were interested in using the G.I as a dive bomber and '302' was equipped with the necessary modification for testing this. However the dive bomber vertsion never went into production. '302' was destroyed in a bombing on Waalhaven. Of the 22 operational G.I's, only 9 could be immediately be dispatched after the German surprise attack on May 10, 1940. A true scale replica of a Fokker G.I. ('330') is on display at the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum. The real '330' was part of the 3 JaVA at Waalhaven. This photo was added on 26 October 2020, and has since been viewed 566 times. |
