German CL class aircraft were light two-seaters used as escort fighters and ground attack aircraft. Developed from the Halberstadt CL.II, the nimble CL.IV was manoeuvrable and easy to fly. It saw action in the final battles of WWI in 1918. This photo is copyright © Peter de Jong, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
