This plane is considered to be the oldest German commercial aircraft in existence, as in 1921 it was used for passenger and postal flights. It is currently on loan from the Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin.

This CL.IV was acquired by the National Museum of the USAF in 1984, where it is now on display. It wears the squadron leader's markings of Schlachtstaffel 21, which is known to have engaged elements of the U.S. Army's 94th and 95th Aero Squadrons in mid-July 1918 during the Chateau Thierry battle.

The Halberstadt CL.IV was one of the best ground attack aircraft of World War I. It performed well in combat as a low-level attack airplane, relying on its good maneuverability to avoid ground fire. This WWI combat veteran was one of three restored by Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin, being completed in June 1991 and is now on display at the Smithsonian's Udvar Hazy Center.

This 1918 built aircraft is seen in the wonderful Technical Museum in Berlin. Built as a reconnaissance aircraft it was used for mail flights after WW I

German CL class aircraft were light two-seaters used as escort fighters and ground attack aircraft. Developed from the Halberstadt CL.II, the nimble CL.IV was manoeuvrable and easy to fly. It saw action in the final battles of WWI in 1918.
