The 39th Tactical Electronic Warfare Sqn was based at Spangdahlem from 1971 until 1973 with the EB-66C, first under the 36h TFW and later under the 52nd TFW. This particular aircraft was built as a RB-66C and converted to EB-66C for electronic warfare operations. It is now preserved at Shaw AFB.
