116754 is pictured with the Air Force's Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment . It was used by the establishment during 1979 - 89 for rocket firing trials and other development work. One of the last active Canadian CF-5s, the fighter was retired and stored in June 1995 until sold to the Botswana government for their Defence Force Air Wing in 1997.
