During Red Flag 81-1, Saudi Arabia participated with F-5s (various models) which it borrowed from the 425th TFTS so that it did not have to move its own aircraft to Nellis. These aircraft received a Saudi Arabia air force roundel. In 1986, this particular aircraft was delivered to Thailand as Kh18k-6/30 23105.
