This 747, delivered April 30, 1980, would be transferred to Mandarin Airlines in 1992. Re-registered B-18253 in March 1999, it was damaged during training as Mandarin was merging with Formosa Airlines on September 2, 1999. Sold to Air Gulf Falcon and repaired, it wore several registrations with the airline until they gifted the aircraft to Iraq and it became YI-AOX with Iraqi Airways in 2000. Damaged during the taking of Bagdad Airport by the US Forces on April 4, 2003, it was withdrawn and stored near the airline's hangar without engines.
