This F-86K wears the squadron code that was common in the late 1950s. 700 Sqn operated the F-86K at Soesterberg from 1955 until 1959, when the unit moved to Twenthe Air Base. This photo is on file at the Gilze-Rijen Heritage Room, and, presumably, taken at Gilze-Rijen. This aircraft collided with Q-208 on 6 May 1963 and crashed near Tubbergen. This photo was added on 29 November 2020, and has since been viewed 709 times. |
