A rarely seen 'ED' tailcoded Nighthawk of the 412th Test Wing, 410th FTS, based at Palmdale, the famous Skunk Works (see insignia). The test aircrafts often use the Precision Impact Test Range at Edwards AFB to test new weapons, like the JDAM GPS guided bombs. This work will ensure the Nighthawk far greater flexibility for future deployments. This photo is copyright © Gerhard Plomitzer, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
