Boeing Capital Corporation owned MD-11 was delivered to City Bird as OO-CTB December 13, 1996. Returned to the lessor in 2001 with the demise of City Bird, the airliner was next leased to Finnair as OH-LGF 2004 - 2010. Converted to a freighter, it was next leased to Cargoitalia in June 2010, but that carrier was closed down in December 2011 and the aircraft stored at Frankfurt, Germany.
