Delivered to the USAAF in July 1940 as 39-51. Became NX61Y in Apr 1945 and served with the Great Lakes Carbon Corp. (GLC) from Aug 1950 until Jan 1953. Later to N34C, N534C, N230SU and N534J. Traded with the USAF Museum in May 1971 and loaned to the Pima mueum in 1973. Originally displayed in its faded last civil livery as N534J, but fully restored in the nice Great Lakes Carbon Corp. colours in 2007 and rolled-out as such on 15 Aug 2007. Note the small GLC logo on the tail, which was carried by all GLC aircraft. This photo is copyright © Kas van Zonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
