This is an experimental homebuilt aircraft built for the sole purpose of setting records in its weight class, at one time held seven world records for speed and distance. A one-of-a-kind aircraft, Prof. Ed Lesher was listed on the operating limitations as the only pilot qualified to fly it. Built in 1965, it is now displayed in the FXB building on the North Campus of the University of Michigan. The Lesher Nomad, an experimental homebuilt 2-place tail-pusher, is visible in the background. This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
