The c/n 001 is not its original c/n which is unknown. Sometimes listed as c/n 172 which was once earmarked for conversion to a Lake Tahoe Special. A different airframe was chosen and c/n 172 still existed as a bare airframe in 2010. The Lake Tahoe Special was a conversion to a 405hp GM LS-6 Robinson V8 engine. N48VP sunk at Lake Shasta after hitting a hidden object while landing on January 21, 2011. This photo is copyright © Geoff Goodall, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
