This DC-9 was originally delivered to Swissair in Novemer 1990. It was damaged in November 1975 during a wheels-up landing during a training flight, but repaired and returned to service. It flew with BMA from September 1988 until November 1994, when it was withdrawn and stored at East Midlands (EMA) until delivery to Valujet the following March as N940VV. The plane was transferred to Air Tran in September 1997, later becoming N840AT. In January 2005 it went to Aero California but was withdrawn in July 2008, stored at Tijuana (TIJ) and subsequently scrapped. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
