Delivered to the USAAF as 42-24294 in 1943. To NC68358 then to Varig as PP-VBF in 1947. Preserved in Parque do Flamengo, Rio De Janeiro from 1971. Moved to the Varig maintenance area at Galeao airport and repaired after damage by vandals in 1980. TAP Air Portugal took over the maintenance area after Varig went bankrupt.
