Over-view to the south-west of historic Point Cook aerodrome. On the southern boundary is the former First World War-vintage seaplane station and jetty, with the modern base area on the western boundary. Point Cook is Australia's oldest operating aerodrome. Land was first purchased for use as a military aerodrome in early 1913 and the Central Flying School opened here shortly afterwards. Today home to the RAAF Museum, you can see two of their Hercules if you look hard! This photo is copyright © Phil Vabre, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
