Despite what the rego might suggest, this 1961 Cessna 182 is a relatively recent import. It was orignally N8990X and was only exported to Australia in 1989, being registered VH-ATR(3) on 29 November that year. According to the title on the side, it's fitted with a STOL kit - if you look carefully you can see the leading edge 'cuffs'.
