On 21 September Dakota 6843 of the SAAF's 86 Multi-Engine Flying School suffered an in-flight fire in the vicinity of Bloemfontein in the then Orange Free State. The crew landed next to the N1 highway south of the city. This photo was taken later that month when the airframe was salvaged. It was later written off. Location is by roadside of N1 South of Bloemfontein precise details unknown. This photo was added on 24 April 2021, and has since been viewed 453 times. |
