The registration is a matter of contention. First registered XA-TDR in Oct 1994 (ex Mexican Air Force ETP-10024), it was "assigned" N48AW in 1998. It is however unclear if it was 'officially' registered as such. For sure the US registration was never painted on and it remained in storage displaying its Mexican registration.
