Built 1942 by DH Australia & delivered to the RAAF as A17-579. Allocated to 11 EFTS Benalla & retained post-war. Registered VH-GME to McKenzie Flying School, Moorabbin, 29 Apr 58 but not collected by purchaser until Sep 58. Purchased in the '60s by Goulburn Valley Aero Club & re-registered VH-GVA(2). Used for wing-walking in the late '80s-early '90s. Flown solo England-Australia 1996 & set several FAI World Records en route. Seen here departing from static display at the Houdini-Centenary Air Show.
