Jeff Trappett taxies 'Eclat' ('brilliant achievement' - and so it is) back to parking after a valiant attempt to get airborne in a very strong crosswind at the Australian International Airshow. This aircraft was post-war CAC production and BOC as A68-118 by the RAAF on 10 May 48. SOC 28 April 58. Bought ex storage at Tocumwal and registered VH-WAS 7 Aug 59. Stored Bankstown 60/73. Acquired Camden Museum of Aviation 73/78. Acquired by Jeff Trappett and trucked to Morwell for restoration, ff 19 April 81.
