slide scan from the NK collection. - The Coronado was one of the fastest airliners ever, and Swissair bought eight of them for delivery in 1961 and 1962. One of those was lost after a bomb explosion near Zurich, the rest of the fleet was withdrawn in 1974. Two were scrapped (including HB-ICF), four were sold to Spantax, and one was transferred to the Verkehrshaus at Luzern, where it has been displayed ever since.
