This is the original Let-410 prototype and was christened 'Matylda' before its first flight on 16th April 1963, then issued the registration OK-YKE for display at the 1969 Paris Air Show. The plane flew for the last time in November 1974, after which it was stored (actually saved by some mechanics) for some time in the Let factory and then used as a plaything for children in the company nursery. It degraded to the extent it became dangerous and had to be removed. the plane was almost scrapped but saved and put on display as (OK-YKE) and again now after a full restoration (with nose probe).
