This a/c saw combat in Vietnam in the late 1960s. It was assigned to the US Army Precision Demonstration Team Silver Eagles from 1972 - 1975. The Silver Eagles were based at Ft. Rucker, Alabama and performed around the country. The team pilots were picked from the flight instructor cadre at Ft. Rucker.
